About Jon

Jon Belelieu was born in Toronto, Canada but currently resides in Chicago, IL. Jon's experience with programming goes back to when he was in college at the University of Toronto. Quickly realizing that a degree in history wouldn't pay the bills, he studied programming in his spare time, starting with Perl but later moving on to PHP. Today, he is proficient in PHP, MySQL, jQuery, JavaScript, XHTML, and CSS.

Jon is currently the lead developer and owner of Ascad Networks. In his spare time, he is an avid lover of hockey (a disgruntled Leafs fan), tennis (Federer will get his 18th soon enough), music, coffee, fine beers, and travel.

Banana Dance is Jon's "pet project", something he does outside of his working hours to give back to the Open Source community, which has thought him quite a bit and which he strongly supports.
